Focaccia Italian Restaurant can be found on the ground floor of A.Venue, Makati. They have a wide array of choices and a cute-looking wall (see below picture). Anyway, as you can see, customers leave behind notes on this wall, and it adds a personal touch to the restaurant, don't you think? :)
For an appetizer, we ordered the Calamari Fritti. It wasn't anything 'special', but it wasn't too bad either. However, the dip was really good!
We ordered the Linguini Gorgonzola as our pasta dish. It was very creamy, albeit a bit bland. However, I'm not really a fan of cream-based pasta. It should be noted that my companion loves cream-based pasta and he enjoyed it.
Linguini Gorgonzola (Solo) 320
Lastly, for our pizza, we ordered the Capellini. While I can't rave about the other dishes, this I loved. It has a pesto sauce, shrimps, garlic, and a thin crust. It's also the kind of pizza that you put chili sauce and vegetables on, and then roll. Think of the more popular Dear Darla dish from Yellow Cab. It was messy to eat as it was a tad oily, but I didn't really mind -- it was delicious!
Capellini (Mini) 230
Verdict
Taste - 3/5
Ambiance - 4/5
Service - 3/5
Price - 3/5
Overall Value - 3/5

panizza looks yummm! not fond of creamy pasta too.
ReplyDeleteThe Capellini looks so yummy! I still haven't tried Yellow Cab's Dear Darla or any other pizza that you put veggies on and roll.. >.< (I know, I'm such a loser!) Anyway, the pasta dish seems quite pricey for a solo serving!
ReplyDeletePS: Belated happy mother's day to your mom! ^^
Thanks, Sumi! A VERY belated mother's day to your mom as well. :)
DeleteWe enjoyed focaccia's pizza too! :) and we stuffed ourselves with their complimentary bread! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Capellini is calling out to me. I can imagine why you say it's oily because it looks oily, haha! But it's tempting. XD Great review! Will check this out soon :>
